Two wins for Team NZ at MedCup

11:36 am on 11 June 2009

Team New Zealand is top of the leaderboard after the first day of the MedCup Marseille regatta in the south of France.

Skipper Dean Barker says it was a hard day on the water for NZL 380 thanks to light winds.

He says the course was very one-sided and tactician Ray Davies and strategist Adam Beashel did a great job of working the left side to get into good finishing positions.

Team Zealand is seven points clear of the Spanish and Argentinian yachts Bribón and Matador with four more race days remaining.
