The New Zealand golf number one Michael Hendry has climbed to a career-high ranking of 166 in the world rankings.

The 33-year-old North Harbour player, who enjoyed his best finish of the year on the Japan Tour at the weekend with a tie for sixth at the Mizuno Open, has moved up seven places.

Despite having a reasonably consistent season on the second tier web.com tour in the United States and being in line to rejoin the PGA tour next year, New Zealand number two Danny Lee has dropped eight places to 253 in the world.
