Guildford re-signs with Crusaders

Winger Zac Guildford has re-signed with the Crusaders for another year.

Guildford has been a Crusaders since 2010, and is set to play his 58th game this weekend against the Chiefs.

The 24-year-old has had a number of alcohol-related issues over the past couple of years.

Guildford has played 10 tests, his last against Ireland last year.

He says the Crusaders are like a family and they have been really supportive of him during his career.

Guildford says it's important to help repay that loyalty and he hopes that he can do that on the paddock for them.

Coach Todd Blackadder says despite his off-field issues he is a key part of the Crusaders family and they're delighted that he is staying with them.

Guildford has also re-signed with Hawke's Bay and will join the team in August for their ITM Cup campaign.

The Crusaders can also confirm that fullback Israel Dagg is staying with the Crusaders until the end of his contract in 2014.
