Tigers coach says he still wants Marshall

The Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter says the National Rugby League club will bend over backwards to try and keep playmaker Benji Marshall at the club and not switch to rugby union.

Marshall is contracted to the Tigers until 2015, but there's on going speculation he'll leave the club after his agent met with Blues coach Sir John Kirwan recently.

Potter says he wants Marshall to stay but depends on the club being able to retain him within their salary cap.

Tigers captain Robbie Farah says has credited Marshall, along with the side's younger players for triggering a resurgence that has netted four wins from the past five matches but still has them in 14th place in the competition.
