The Cronulla Sharks kept up their hunt for a National Rugby League top four spot with a gutsy 19-18 win over the Brisbane Broncos, just hours after regular skipper Paul Gallen was ruled out of next week's State of Origin decider.
Sharks coach Shane Flanagan says his heart goes out to Gallen and there was no doubt he would be devastated, while it also seems unlikely the forward will be fit to play in next weekend's clash with the Sydney Roosters.
