Broadhurst staying with Hurricanes

The Taranaki lock James Broadhurst has re-signed with the Hurricanes for the next two Super Rugby seasons through to 2015.

He says he believes this team has the potential to go somewhere great and he wants to be a part of it.

The 2.01 metre lock first appeared for the Hurricanes in 2010 and has since clocked up 40 caps for the franchise.

Broadhurst has represented New Zealand at under-19 and under-21 grades.

Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett is delighted to see Broadhurst commit to the Canes following the recent signings of Dane Coles and Jeremy Thrush for three and two years respectively.

Hammett says Broadhurst has matured as a player this year and is determined to play his part in the Hurricanes winning in the future.
