New Zealand's Campbell Grayson retained his Victorian Open title in style when he defeated Australian hope Steven Finitsis in straight games in the final of the PSA World Tour event in Melbourne.

The top seed eased away with the first two games then held off a fast finishing Finitsis to clinch the third and win the seventh Tour title of his career 11-7 11-6 11-9.

Fellow New Zelaand Megan Craig fell just short of making it a New Zealand double.

Sixth-seeded Craig upset the form books to make it through to the final, but her giant killing run came to an end in the title decider as she fell 11-8 12-10 11-2 to former world number one Rachael Grinham.
