Third Jamaican admits positive test

7:50 am on 16 July 2013

The Jamaican Olympic discus thrower Allison Randall has become the third athlete from her country in 24 hours to confirm a positive drugs test from the Jamaican trials in June.

All three athletes have denied knowingly taking a performance-enhancing substance.

Randall says she's never seen steroids and doesn't know the first thing about them.

Italian media reports say police had raided a hotel in the north of the country where the sprinters had stayed, and several products were seized.

America's former double world sprint champion Tyson Gay said on Monday that he had also tested positive for a yet-to-be-revealed substance.
