Rookie basketballer Jordan Ngatai has received a surprise international call-up to the Tall Blacks after two last-minute injuries.
Point guard Josh Bloxham injured an ankle in last night's practice game against the Philippines, and forward Jeremiah Trueman has had to withdraw from the tour with a toe injury.
Bloxham's expected to miss next month's Oceania series against Australia, while Trueman could yet play.
Ngatai will leave for China with the team on Sunday night.
