Australia have taken first blood in the second futsal trans-Tasman Cup, with a 3-0 victory over New Zealand in Wellington.
The Futsal Whites, who are ranked 76th in the world compared to a 27th international ranking by FIFA for the Futsalroos, will play two more matches against the Australians.
It's only the second time the Cup has been contested, and Australia are looking for a repeat of last year's performance where they won all three games.
