Westwood leads Open by 2 strokes

The English golfer Lee Westwood will take a two stroke lead into this evening's final round of the British Open at Muirfield in Scotland.

At 3 under for the championship, Westwood carded a one under par 70 in his third round which he says was inspired by his playing partner Tiger Woods.

The burly 40 year old says he has a good relationship with the world number one and that he feeds off his ability when playing alongside him

Westwood will be joined in the final pair by America's Hunter Mahan ahead of Tiger Woods and Adam Scott.

New Zealand's Mark Bown is tied for 51st at 9 over for the championship.
