The Crusaders will play the Chiefs and the Bulls will host the ACT Brumbies in Super Rugby's semi finals this weekend.
The semi-finals makeup was only decided when the Brumbies narrowly beat South Africans the Cheetahs 15-13 in Canberra on Sunday night.
The Cheetahs scored the only two tries of the match, but their first five Riaan Smit hit the upright with his last-minute conversion attempt.
The Chiefs will host the Crusaders in Hamilton, after the Crusaders beat the Queensland Reds on Saturday night.
Reds coach Ewen McKenzie believes the Crusaders are on track to win their first title since 2008.
