The Australian cricket coach Darren Lehmann has ruled out reinforcements for his Ashes squad after their crushing defeat in the second test at Lord's.
Only one team in Ashes history has fought back from 2-0 down to win a series, but Lehmann is backing his group of 18 players to fight it out to the death.
The emphatic "no" from Lehmann ends any suggestion that former Test stars Simon Katich and Ricky Ponting, who have been playing in English county cricket, would be sent an SOS.
David Warner will rejoin the squad once his second fixture with Australia A in South Africa is completed.
Captain Michael Clarke is expected to be fit to play in the three-day game against Sussex before the third Test at Old Trafford which starts on Thursday week.
