Brazil turn on samba style to beat U.S. 3-0

6:27 am on 19 June 2009

Brazil whipped up a football storm against the USA, turning on the full samba style as they sauntered to a 3-0 Confederation's Cup win in Pretoria with goals from Felipe Melo, Robinho and Maicon.

The Americans finished with 10 men after midfielder Sacha Kljestan was sent off in the 56th minute.

After their lucky 4-3 win over Egypt 4-3 with a controversial late penalty in their first match, Brazil were back to their spectacular best, scoring two sublime goals.

Brazil head Group B with six points and will be certain to reach the semi-finals unless Egypt beat Italy in Johannesburg.

The United States are still without a point after losing their opening game 3-1 to Italy and face almost certain elimination.
