The elite BMX riders will get their first chance to try out the World Championship track as the practice session in Auckland today.
The purpose-built indoor track at Vector Arena is smaller than most courses used for racing around the world, posing extra challenges for the riders.
Defending World Champion, Sam Willoughby, says learning the track will be important so they can ensure they get the best gate spots for the finals.
Willoughby says the tight track and its short first straight will mean there's plenty of crashes coming into the first corner.
