The New Zealand golfers have continued their impressive form at the Boise Open in Idaho on the second-tier tour in the United States.

After a quiet first day, Danny Lee led the way, firing a seven under par 64 to put himself in contention at nine under for the tournament.

The overnight leader Steven Alker shot a three under par 68 to be 12 under for the tournament and in a tie for fifth, two shots behind the Scot Russell Knox, who rocketed into the lead with a 59.
