The unheralded Crusaders prop Joe Moody is set for a call-up to the All Blacks squad for the Rugby Championship.
Moody has joined the All Blacks training camp to cover for Wyatt Crockett, whose injured knee is likely to keep him out of the first Bledisloe Cup test against Australia.
Despite spending much of his first Super Rugby campaign on the bench, All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says Moody's likely to be named in the squad on Sunday.
Hansen says they have enough tighthead prop cover, so Moody's ability as a specialist loosehead makes him a logical choice.
