Bulldogs sink Dragons with late burst

The Canterbury Bulldogs maintained their charge towards the National Rugby League finals with a 39-20 come-from-behind win over St George Illawarra on Monday night.

Trailing by 12 points with half an hour remaining, the Bulldogs scored five unanswered tries - including a double to man mountain Sam Kasiano - to retain fifth spot on the table.

The Dragons had scored their fourth straight try soon after the break to lead 20-8, but soon after there was a compete momentum shift in the Bulldogs favour.

South Sydney and the Sydney Roosters share the lead, five points clear of Manly and Melbourne.

The Warriors are 10th, one point away from the top eight.
