Two Thailand badminton players have been banned following their shocking brawl at last month's Canada Open.

Bodin Issara, who had chased his former doubles partner round the hall, has been banned by the Badminton World Federation for two years, and Maneepong Jongjit has been given a three-month suspension.

Video footage showed Bodin chasing Maneepong, his partner at last year's Olympics, onto a neighbouring court and dragging him to the ground.

He then punched his prone countryman twice and appeared to try to stamp on him before being dragged away from 22-year-old Maneepong, who got to his feet shirtless and was helped away.
