The New Zealand netballer Liana Leota has withdrawn from this week's Silver Ferns trials in Auckland.

Leota's decided to stay in England, where she lives with her rugby-playing husband Johnny and her young family, and is unavailable for Silver Ferns selection in 2013.

The 28-year-old wing attack made her test debut for the Silver Ferns in 2008 and has earned 30 caps in that time.

The Silver Ferns are holding trials before selecting their squad for the Constellation Cup against Australia next month.
