Cox on the move to Melbourne Vixens

The veteran Australian netball shooter Catherine Cox is to join the Melbourne Vixens on a one-year contract for the next year's trans-Tasman competition.

The 37-year-old Cox, who has played 108 tests, joins the Vixens after two years at the West Coast Fever and several seasons with the New South Wales Swifts.

She effectively replaces fellow test veteran Sharelle McMahon, who announced her retirement last month.

Cox recently cited fatigue as she withdrew from the national squad selection camp, opting out of the 2013 international season, although she still hopes to play next year's Commonwealth Games for Australia.
