Bolt wants to be a legend

After powering to a third successive world 200 metres title in Moscow on Sunday, Usain Bolt revealed his main goal is to make himself a legend and dominate at the Olympics in Rio.

Bolt comfortably won at the Luzhniki Stadium in a world-leading time of 19.66 seconds, despite easing off fully 15 metres from the finish line.

But the lanky Jamaican says for him it's all about winning championships and he never stresses about times.

He revealed a track master plan that includes defending his Olympic sprint titles in Rio de Janeiro in 2016

The 26-year-old, who now has seven world gold medals as well as six Olympic golds to his name, and when he races the 4x100m relay on Monday has the opportunity to draw level with the present mark of eight world gold medals, won by retired American duo Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson, insists that record counts for nothing.

Defending his titles at the next Olympics was a big goal, Bolt says, as it hasn't been done before by anyone, and this world championships is a stepping stone towards that goal.
