The Australian basketballers have swept the Oceania series with convincing victories in the return matches in Canberra.

In a carbon copy of Game One, the Tall Blacks let a halftime lead slip to lose 63-76.

Star Australian guard Patty Mills again inspired his side to a dominant third quarter, reeling off 13 of his game-high 21 points as the home team unleashed a 23-2 run.

New Zealand led by 6 at half time, with guard Corey Webster top scoring with 16 points.

Australia and New Zealand will fill Oceania's two spots at next year's FIBA World Championship in Spain, but the Aussies secure a more favourable seeding with their series win.

Meanwhile the New Zealand women were beaten 84-66 giving Australia the only spot available at their World Championships in Turkey next year.
