Team New Zealand will have to wait another day to try to seal victory in the America's Cup challenger series.
They've gone one 6-1 up in the best-of-13 series after easily winning the first of today's two scheduled races against Italian syndicate Luna Rossa.
The Black boat set a new challenger series speed record in this morning's seventh race reaching 47.18 or 86.90 kilometres per hour
The record eclisped the team's previous record of 44.15 knots and giving it a comfortable victory over Luna Rossa by 1 minute 58 seconds.
The race was sailed in some of the strongest winds of the regatta which forced race eight to be postponed until Monday.
Team New Zealand is now only one race away from winning the series, but Manager Grant Dalton isn't taking victory for granted.
Both teams have struggled with equipment failures during the series and Dalton says anything could happen.
The winner of the challenger series wins the right to take on Oracle Team USA in next month's America's Cup.
