The New Zealand womens tennis number one Marina Erakovic appears to have a good chance of at least making the second round of the singles at the US Open, starting next week in New York.
Erakovic has been drawn to play the unheralded Spaniard Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor, whose best results have been on clay courts.
Erakovic's current world ranking is 66 and Torro-Flor 84th.
