The Silver Ferns' midcourt injury woes have deepened with Camilla Lees ruled out of the Constellation Cup series against Australia and scans confirming Kayla Cullen's serious knee injury.
Lees was named in the squad last week, but has suffered a stress fracture in her foot and has been replaced in the squad by the shooter Anna Thompson.
Cullen was sent home from the World Youth Netball Championships after injuring her knee and scans have revealed an anterior cruciate ligament injury that will require surgery.
She'll be out of action for at least seven months, meaning she'll miss the entire Silver Ferns season and possibly the start of the trans-Tasman competition.
