Lions coach labels bonus point win "rubbish"

Wellington's continued its one hundred percent start to the provincial rugby season with a 35-27 win over North Harbour in the capital - but the Lions coach Chris Boyd is far from happy, labelling their play "rubbish".

Wellington leapt out to a 21-nil lead before the final hour proved hard work, the table-topping Premiership frontrunners allowing Championship side Harbour to creep into the contest near the final whistle - only to be cruelly denied even a losing bonus point.

The Lions scored four tries to Harbour's three but Boyd's fuming that his side lost their structure against the visitors' free-flowing approach.
