The rugby league superstar Ben Barba will join Brisbane for the next three NRL seasons after being granted a release by the Bulldogs.
Barba, nursing an ankle injury, will play out the remainder of the 2013 season with the Bulldogs before heading to the Broncos.
The two clubs have agreed to a compensation figure to be paid to the Bulldogs for releasing the unsettled Dally M medal winner from the final two years of his contract.
Barba sought a release so he could be closer to his family, with his former partner set to relocate to Brisbane with the couple's two children.
