Blackpool are back on top of the English Football Championship after a 1-0 win against high-flying visitors Watford, while Burnley moved up to third with a 3-0 away victory over Derby County.

Watford drop to seventh with their first loss while Harry Redknapp's Queens Park Rangers kept up their good start with a 1-0 victory at Leeds United.

It's QPR's fourth win in five league matches as they look for a quick return to the Premier League following last season's relegation.

Another relegated side, Wigan Athletic, got their first win since the opening day of the campaign, beating fourth-placed Nottingham Forest 2-1 at home.

Charlton Athletic ended 10-man Leicester City's unbeaten start in a 2-1 win at the Valley, while Blackburn Rovers thrashed Bolton Wanderers 4-1 and Barnsley beat Huddersfield Town 2-1.

Reading won 1-0 at Yeovil Town and Bournemouth beat Doncaster Rovers 1-0.

There were draws for Birmingham City with Ipswich Town, Middlesbrough with Sheffield Wednesday and Brighton and Hove Albion with 10-man Millwall.
