The New Zealand motor racing driver Scott Dixon's chances of winning this year's IndyCar series appear to be over after he failed to finish the latest race in Baltimore.
Dixon, who started on pole, was shunted into the wall with 20 laps remaining while sitting in 5th position.
Dixon remains in second place overall, but is now 49 points behind championship leader Helio Castroneves with 3 races remaining.
The Baltimore race was won by Frenchman Simon Pagenaud.
