Schedule for Indian cricket tour finally confirmed

5:20 pm on 2 September 2013

The Black Caps will play five one day cricket internationals and two tests against India in New Zealand this summer but the venues are yet to be decided.

The discussions between New Zealand Cricket and the Board of Control for Cricket in India over the tour itinerary have been a drawn out process.

Under the International Cricket Council's future tours programme, India were due to play three tests, five one dayers and Twenty20 match here.

But over the weekend the parties agreed the current World Cup champions will tour here immediately after the West Indies series in December and early January.

The chief executive of New Zealand Cricket David White says the venues for India's games should be announced in the next week or so.

India last toured New Zealand in 2009.
