Strang appointed Auckland cricket coach

The former Zimbabwe international Paul Strang has been appointed coach of the Auckland cricket side.

He replaces Mark O'Donnell who's now assistant coach with the Black Caps, but had been in the Auckland role for the past seven years.

Strang's worked for Auckland Cricket for the past year as High Performance Coach and stepped in to coach the Auckland side last summer when O'Donnell moved onto the assist New Zealand coach Andy Moles.

The Former Black Cap Matt Horne, who also applied for the coaching role, has been appointed to Strang's former job as High Performance Coach.
