Two new caps in Black Caps test squad

Two new caps have been named in the New Zealand cricket side for next month's two test tour of Bangladesh.

The Northern Districts pair of allrounder Corey Anderson and legspinner Ish Sodhi are the newcomers.

Anderson, has played in the Black Caps one day and Twenty20 sides, while Sodhi legspinner is a member of the New Zealand A side currently touring India.

Batsman Martin Guptill, and bowlers Daniel Vettori and Tim Southee weren't considered for the tour due to injury, although Southee, who had an ankle operation in July, may join the squad later.

The Black Caps coach Mike Hesson says the selection of Sodhi and Anderson will give the side greater options on the test pitches in Chittagong and Dhaka.

The test squad will leave for a pre-tour camp in Sri Lanka in a couple of weeks.

The squad for the three one dayers and two T20 games against Bangladesh will be named next week.
