Vettel wins at Monza

Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has easily won the Italian Formula One Grand Prix to close in on his fourth straight world title.

The German, who celebrated his 32nd career win and third at Monza, led from pole position with the possibility of rain - which never came - looking more of a threat than his rivals.

It is Vettel's sixth victory from 12 races this season.

Ferrari's Fernando Alonso finished second with Red Bull's Mark Webber, who is leaving Formula One at the end of the season, taking third place in his final grand prix on European soil.

Vettel is now 53 points ahead of Alonso in the standings, with Lewis Hamilton - last year's Italian GP winner who finished ninth for Mercedes another 28 points back.

There are seven races remaining, with the next in Singapore.
