The French rugby club Clermont is interested in picking up the All Black second five Ma'a Nonu.
The French newspaper L'Equipe is reporting that the Top 14 giants are keen to bolster their resources in the centres and have earmarked Nonu.
Nonu is currently without a contract with his deal at the Highlanders finishing at the end of last season.
He has been linked with a move to Japan.
Clermont currently have former All Blacks winger Sitiveni Sivivatu in their ranks as well as Mike Delany, Benson Stanley and Regan King.
