British distance star denies drugs claims

Britain's long distance running star Mo Farah has refuted suspicions that his startling form is down to drugs, insisting it was solely hard work that won him Olympic gold last year, and a world championship title recently in Moscow.

Farah backed up his 5,000-10,000 metres double at the London Games with a similar feat at last month's world championships to earn a place among the greatest distance runners in history.

He was responding to allegations that his winning streak was drugs-assisted, but he insists it's come after years of struggle and having to live for long periods at his high altitude training camp in the Pyrenees, or in the United States, away from his wife and children.
