McKenzie loses patience with Genia

The Australia rugby coach Ewen McKenzie has run out of patience with an out-of-sorts Will Genia, dropping the halfback and stand-in captain from the starting XV for Saturday's match against Argentina in Perth.

The ACT Brumbies' Nic White has been promoted in place of Genia with No.8 Ben Mowen - who's only played six tests - to lead the team with regular skipper James Horwill still out injured.

Genia's demotion to the reserves aside, the backline remains largely unchanged with James O'Connor and Nick Cummins swapping wings and Quade Cooper keeping his place at first five.

McKenzie has also tweaked a pack that has been hit by several injuries and struggled in last week's 38-12 loss to South Africa and was beaten in the two previous tests against the All Blacks.

Tighthead prop Ben Alexander has been promoted from the bench at the expense of Sekope Kepu, while lock Sitaleki Timani comes into the reserves.

Centre Tevita Kuridrani also comes into the reserves in place of Brumbies team-mate Jesse Mogg.
