North Harbour's scored their first win of the 2013 provincial rugby Championship, beating the Tasman Makos 23-12 at Albany.
Harbour's defence kept the Makos scoreless in the second spell, after the visitors led 12-6 at half-time.
The All Blacks second five Frances Saili sealed the win with four minutes to play with an angled run for Harbour's second try.
Earlier Manawatu beat Southland 27-17 in Palmerston North.
