The Sydney Roosters are through to the preliminary finals of the National Rugby League after beating the Manly Sea Eagles 4-0 on Saturday night.
Roosters prop Sam Moa had to convince coach Trent Robinson at half-time that returning from a dislocated kneecap would inspire, not backfire.
Moa felt his kneecap pop in and out just three minutes into the contest and hobbled off the field, seemingly at long odds to return.
His contribution helped the Roosters repel Manly 4-0 in an epic encounter at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night that earned the Tri-Colours the all-important week-off.
Manly takes on Cronulla in next week's sudden death semi finals.
