Floyd Mayweather has captured boxing's world super welterweight unified title with a majority decision over Mexico's Saul Alvarez at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas.
The 36-year-old American extended his winning streak to 45 straight fights as he earned the biggest purse in boxing history at $US41 million and ended Alvarez's undefeated record.
