World tennis number four David Ferrer will attempt to win a record fifth Heineken Open title in Auckland this summer.

The Spaniard's won the last three editions of the tournament and four in total, tied on the all-time list with the Australian great Roy Emerson.

Ferrer will be joined in Auckland by flamboyant Frenchman Gael Monfils and the world number 21, South Africa's Kevin Anderson.

Tournament director Karl Budge says he plans to add two more top 20 players in the coming weeks.
