Emirates Team New Zealand has fallen agonisingly short of winning the America's Cup in race 13 of the regatta after the time limit for the race was exceeded.
The race was postponed.
In light conditions, Oracle won the start by a boat length and rounded gate one ten seconds ahead of Team New Zealand.
The lead then changed on the first downwind leg as Team New Zealand was better able to harness the lighter winds reaching the second mark one minute and 42 seconds before Oracle.
Upwind, Team New Zealand increased it's lead even further rounding mark three two minutes and 27 seconds ahead.
Following the downwind leg, the New Zealand boat arrived at gate four more than a kilometre ahead of Oracle just as the 40 minute time limit for the race expired.
