The Roma captain Francesco Totti has signed a new deal which will keep him at the Italian football club until he is 40.
Totti's new two-year contract ties him at the Serie A side until 2016.
Totti, who has played at Roma all of his career, has scored 228 goals in Serie A.
Only Silvio Piola, with 274 goals, has scored more.
Totti, a member of Italy's 2006 World Cup-winning squad, has scored at least once in all of the last 20 seasons.
Roma currently share the lead at the top of Serie A with three wins in three matches ahead of this weekend's derby with city rivals Lazio.
