Gareth Bale's missed his home debut for Real Madrid through injury, but the side didn't miss him as Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice in a 4-1 win over Getafe.

The world's most expensive player was set to start, but injured himself in the warm-up and was forced to make way for another new recruit, Isco just before kickoff.

Angel Lafita stunned the home crowd with when he scored in the fifth minute, but normal order was soon restored when Pepe bundled in in the 19th.

Ronaldo added a second from the penalty spot in the 33rd and the Spain international Isco scored from a quickly taken Ronaldo free kick in the 59th.

Ronaldo capped the win with a clever backheel to score his second.
