The Southern Steel coach Janine Southby has been named to lead the Fast Five Ferns for the first time at this year's Netball World Series in Auckland in November.
The recent gold medal winning New Zealand U21 coach will take the helm after Silver Ferns coach Wai Taumaunu led the side to their title victory last year.
New Zealand selectors have again opted for a strong team to defend the FAST5 title in contrast to their Australia counterparts who have used the five-aside tournament as a chance to develop the next tier of players.
All ten players selected are current members of the wider Silver Ferns squad and include midcourters Katarina Cooper and Shannon Francois, who are yet to feature in this international season.
However Irene Van Dyk, Leana De Bruin, Joline Henry, and Jodi Brown will sit it out.
Six teams will compete for the Fast5 title - a modified version of the game, with England, South Africa, Australia, Malawi and Jamaica competing alongside the Fast5 Ferns.
