The Warriors have paid a world record transfer fee in signing England fullback Sam Tomkins to the National Rugby League club on a three-year deal.
Tomkins is considered one of the premier attacking players in the English Super League, having scored 144 tries in 150 appearances for Wigan.
Warriors co-owner Eric Watson says the signing is one of the most significant since he took over the club 13 years ago.
Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan confirmed they'd received a world record transfer fee for Tomkins, eclipsing the $860,000 Wigan paid Bradford for Stuart Fielden in 2007.
