Broom's innings propells Otago to another win

The Otago coach Vaughn Johnson says opener Neil Broom's innings at the Champions League against Perth was the best he's ever seen in Twenty20 cricket.

Broom hit an unbeaten century, which included eight sixes and nine fours as Otago beat the Scorchers by 62 runs.

Broom's 56-ball knock of 117, along with 66 from Ryan ten Doeschate and 45 from Derek de Boorder, propelled Otago to 242 for four.

Otago then restricted Perth to 180 for six with Iain Butler taking three wickets.

A win in one of their last two matches should qualify Otago for the semi-finals.
