The New Zealand Breakers have beaten the Chinese side the Dongguan Leopards 114-93 in the first of their three-game basketball series in New Plymouth.
Tom Abercrombie top-scored for the Breakers with 21 points, while NBA veteran Donte Green scored a game-high 41 points for the Leopards.
Game two is in Hamilton Tuesday night.
