Plenty of records fell on the second day of the National Short Course Swimming Championships in Wellington.

North Canterbury's Natasha Lloyd broke the New Zealand Open record twice in winning the 200 metres breaststroke.

Paralympian Sophie Pascoe broke a world record in the 100 metres freestyle before fellow IPC swim star Mary Fisher added a second world record in the 50 metres butterfly.

Laura Quilter of the North Shore picked up her first national title of the competition in the 100 freestyle.

The 21-year-old led from start to finish but was challenged on the final 25 metres by a fast finishing world short course 800 metres champion Lauren Boyle.
