The All Black Sevens coach Sir Gordon Tietjens has named an experienced squad to begin the defence of their world series title on the Gold Coast next week.
The team features seven players from the squad which won the Sevens world cup in Moscow in July and ten who played in the side on the world series circuit last season.
The veteran DJ Forbes will again captain the side, with the Wellington winger Ambrose Curtis the only newcomer in the 12 strong squad.
The full squad is:
DJ Forbes, captain, Tomasi Cama, Scott Curry, Ambrose Curtis, Sam Dickson, Mark Jackman, Tim Mikkelson, Waisake Naholo, Lote Raikabula, Sherwin Stowers, Belgium Tuatagaloa, Joe Webber.
The Gold Coast tournament starts on Saturday week.
